Psalm 112

Psa 112:6-7 Surely he will never be shaken; The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance. (7) He will not be afraid of evil tidings; His heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.

Believing in God is crucial. We have been studying what it is to truly believe in the Lord in our Jr. High class. It is more than a one time thing. It is more than praying "the prayer" of salvation. It is something we have to decide to do every day. Every time we mess up, we can look back and see it is from a lack of faith in what God is doing.

The righteous man described in these verses is never shaken and steadfast. I do not know about you, but sometimes I feel like I am on a roller coaster. In this life everything is always changing. Where do we find some sturdy ground? How do we keep from feeling like we are in quick sand? The righteous man finds the answer in the Lord. He trusts and believes on Him for everything. He is not afraid of bad news, because he knows he has God.

Maybe your life has been a roller coaster ride. Maybe you feel the ground shifting under your feet. Find the Lord, trust in Him. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever, yet His mercies are new every morning.
