For as much as the world hates God, I find it interesting that if you fall into favor with God most likely you will fall into favor with the world. Everyone likes a godly person. Why is this? Because what the Lord has given us is good, and everyone likes good. 1 Samuel 2:26 tells us, “And the child Samuel grew in stature, and in favor both with the Lord and men.” Luke 2:52 says, “And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.”
Joseph was in a tough situation. He was backed up against the wall. He was taken to a new civilization, new culture, and was sold into slavery. How did Joseph respond? Joseph simply served the Lord. When Joseph thrown into prison for being accused of adultery how does he respond? He serves the Lord, and is made in charge of the prison. We need to have a one track mind in all situations. The most beautiful thing about the story of Joseph is, after all this trial, when Joseph is put in charge of
Want a good witness? Serve the Lord. Potipher had probably never heard of the God of Israel. Yet, we are told that somehow, Potipher acknowledged that Jehovah was with Joseph. Our goal is to win souls, and we do this by having two eyes on Jesus and following Him.

I find it's hard sometimes to be right with the Lord, but when I am struggling I think of this story and remember it is NOT impossible to stay right with Him! I think it is AMAZING how much our God can do!

Why is it that every time, I turn on the TV, look in a mag, or walk into a store,most of the people are celebrating holloween? Do people really understand, what this is all about, I mean worshiping satan?(should that be in caps?) I look around, and I can't help but think about how dumb people can be, and I bet most of them don't even realize what they are celabrating! I have friends, who would rather go to a halloween dance, then go to something, they have already commited themselves to, that has nothing to do with you-know-what. I really am thankful to the church for providing an alternitive, than trick-or-treating!

I read this verse this morning and it really spoke to me. I've been struggling with lots of personal things and have been overwhelemed. This verse opened up my eyes to the fact that God has great plans in store for me and you. When that time comes, all of our "sufferings" will seem inferior compared to the glory God will bring us. I hope that made sense.
If Potiphar, trusted Joseph so much that he put him in charge of all the other servents, why did he not believe him, when he said that he had not tried to have sex with his wife? To me that shows a LACK of trust!

Why Jesus chose to have MAJOR sinners as his ancestors is beyond me. I would have thought his ancestors would have been rich,fancy,sophisticated ect. I don't care who is grandma&grandpa were, as long as He came, to give me the opportunity of life with Him, I'M HAPPY. I have taken that opportunity, HAVE YOU?! Imagine, living with God for eternity, you would never be..........hot,cold,sick,hungry,tired,bored,sad,mad, and everything would be perfect. Plus, we each get our own mansion. Our mansions will make the one, with over 205 rooms, including a bathroom made out of solid gold, 5 kitchens, and over 20 bedrooms, look like a dump! Think about that!!!!

Catherin, I don't think we will need bathrooms when we are in heaven. We won't even have to eat! Which for me is a major improvment, being a shoe and all. Another thing is, why would we want a mansion? When we get to heave I don't think that I will have a stationary home. I'm going to go out and explore the secrets of the cosmos! To explore the glory of all that God has created!
